Press in solidarity of workers of Transportation Barsanti
The Communist Party of the PRC Caserta expresses its proximity and full solidarity with the struggle that the workers of the cooperative CO.GEST.TRA being carried out in recent days.
Workers who operate for 30 years handling the procurement of goods by Barsanti Transportation - never worked directly for the client company, but always for others - have been subjected to continuous changes in the years of the contract which in turn led to worsening conditions work and loss of entitlements for the workers. To date
for months without pay, a situation which has added a few days ago the sudden dismissal of five workers, while the future of the entire cooperative is not clear, after it has arrived at yet another outsourcing of work and the contract with the CO.GEST.TRA will not be renewed, for which workers will be fired.
This was not causal but is the result of a specific business logic, which, attentive only to the maximum possible profit, it tends to use the workers as commodities, riding roughshod over their most basic rights and harm to continue their dignity. Precisely for this reason we believe it is right to denounce, as well as they did to the unions, it's time to stop fraudulent use these systems solely to further exploit workers and we hope that the meeting in the prefecture is made clear in the coming days this situation severe and unsustainable.
